The Departments encompass General Ophthalmology, Cataract Services, Squint and Paediatric Ophthalmology, Oculoplastic Surgeries, Neuro Ophthalmologic Services, Vision Correction Services incorporating Lasik Surgeries, Glaucoma, Retina and Cornea & Contact Lens Services.
The support team constitutes an efficient management group along with professional nurses, paramedics and optometrists.
The institute also functions as an academy for educational activities, for the ophthalmic fraternity, general practitioners, postgraduate students and ophthalmic assistants. Research activities include the study, review and analysis of a myriad recorded procedures and surgeries. This gives BCEI a rare insight and edge also into complicated and unusual cases.

The Institute
also provides charitable services to benefit the deprived, under privileged
and economically backward sections of society. These include Daily Charitable
Clinics, Free Eye Camps and Special Events.
BCEI provides its unique eye care systems for use overseas. Training is imparted
and entire infrastructure and systems management put in place to create centres
of ophthalmic excellence at levels of international quality and conforming
to ISO standards that BCEI has for itself.
